How about passion? Or the fact that prior entrepreneurial experience ranks so low?
One crucial factor that is a subtitle here is the complementarity of the team members: founding teams should make sure they have the proper mix of competences (such as salesmanship and technicity) but also of character (introvert and extrovert, patient and impatient, driven and cold-blooded).
In the long term, friendship or similarity of character is not the best guarantor of success for entrepreneurial ventures. Having a wealth of experiences and ways to approach a problem is a better asset.
